My little man has been busy doing the things that he loves to do as well as learning new things and still trying his best. He was getting out of control a while back and has been put on different medications. He was put on Ritalin and his Risperidal was upped. Since we have found a happy medium with his medicines, he has been such a happy little guy. I was very leery of putting him on Ritalin cause I was on it when I was younger and it made me very different than the person that I should have been. A lot has changed with medicines and how they are prescribed in the last 21 years. I am thankful for that. It is working wonderfully for him. It is helping to concentrate in school and complete tasks and not be so hyper all the time. He is still high strung, but it is a more manageable high strung, if that makes sense. He has just grown so much and become such a great little boy. I am so very very proud of him!
As of last month, he is no longer a Kindergarten student. My little guy graduated this year and will be a first grader this next school year! It was a moment that I will NEVER forget! We were not sure how this year was going to go, and it went so well! We hit a few ruff patches, but once we found some medication that works, he was right back on track to where he needed to be! He has done so well. I am so proud! (The picture below is him getting his diploma and hugging his teacher)
As of this next school year, Rhory will no longer be in OT outside of school. I have started a fundraiser for him to help raise the money to get him at home therapy items to help keep him on track. He has done so well, I hate to see him back track without having the therapy outside of school. If you would like to see the items that he has been able to receive up to this point, please follow the link below.
Again I apologize for it being such a wait to hear about my awesome little guy, and I will try and make sure to update more since it is not summer time :)
